After the Gold Rush is the third studio album by Canadian musician Neil Young, released in September 1970 on Reprise Records. It is one of four high-profile albums released by each member of folk rock collective Crosby, Stills, Nash & Young in the wake of their chart-topping 1970 album Déjà Vu. Gold Rush consists mainly of country folk music, along with the rocking "Southern Man", inspired by the Dean Stockwell-Herb Bermann screenplay After the Gold Rush.

Producer – David Briggs, Kendall Pacios, Neil Young. Vocals – Stephen Stills. Vocals, Piano – Nils Lofgren. Written-By – Don Gibson (tracks: B1), Neil Young (tracks: A1 to A5, B2 to B6). 메모. After The Gold Rush is an acoustic album that led to many other confessional singer/songwriter works in the early '70s (James Taylor, Carole King, et. Young had injured his back lifting a slab of polished walnut and standing up to play his electric guitar was impossible. In addition, he had dropped Crazy Horse as his backing band so he prepared an album of acoustic songs.

After The Gold Rush is the title track from Young’s 1970 album of the same name. Believed to be a reflection on the environment and man’s relationship with it in the form of a dream. Young himself, in regard to the meaning of the song, has reportedly stated Hell, I don’t know. I just wrote it. It just depends on what I was taking at the time. I guess every verse has something different I’d taken. After the Gold Rush" Track Info. Written By Neil Young. Flugelhorn Bill Peterson. Piano Nils Lofgren, Jack Nitzsche & Neil Young

The album bearing only Neil Young's name is the one that sounds least like him. It's a fine psych-tinged folk-rock set with colorful arrangements and top-shelf instrumental contributors like guitarist Ry Cooder and visionary keyboardist and arranger Jack Nitzsche, who would continue to work with Young periodically through the 70s. But Young himself sounds oddly tentative throughout, as if he weren't quite sure what he wanted his music to sound like, and this is his most restrained singing on record. With his newfound confidence, Young was poised to stretch, and After the Gold Rush sounds a bit like an overview of the Great American Songbook but with one guy writing almost all the songs.
