It's been six years since we've had an album from these Norwegiens. This is an album i'd highly recommend to fans of adventerous and well played music. There is an avant flavour at times but this is melodic and intricate with a classical flair.
Complete your Panzerpappa collection. So, the mad Norwegian are finally back! And let me tell you straight: this one is absolutely their best to date! Having gained a lot of experience and popularity from extensive touring during the years, they have conceived an album that oozes of maturity. From the opening track with its riff in 5/4, you feel and know that it will be a treat!

Astromalist is a prog-rocky sorta RIO-ish affair that blends influences from Univers Zero, King Crimson, Frank Zappa and other avantgarde greats into something unique and remarkable. Like much of the best music of its "kind" (these groups tend to be fairly unique), Panzerpappa have managed to make music which is both challenging and catchy at the same time. Those who like the aforementioned bands or artists would probably find this to be an enjoyable listen - and if you don't, why are you even here?
