Rival Sons is an American rock band from Long Beach, California. Formed in 2009, they have released six albums and one EP. They originate from the remnants of a previous band of guitarist Scott Holiday. The band is known for extensive touring and their notable album release Pressure & Time. They are signed to Low Country Sound, an imprint of Elektra run by Dave Cobb.

Rival Sons release a cover version of Creedence Clearwater Revival's 'Long As I Can See The Light'. Originally featured on Creedence's 1970 album 'Cosmo's Factory', the recording is Rival Sons' contribution to this year's Record Store Day. It comes backed with a cover version of Humble Pie's 'Black Coffee', a track guitarist Scott Holiday learnt from UK TV show The Old Grey Whistle Test. Recorded Live at Juke Joint Studio in Notodden, Norway, 07/31/14.
